Christmas
Christmas was awesome! We went ice skating on the 23rd and slept over at Hugh’s and Diane’s from Christmas Eve to Christmas Day.
We had breakfast with all girls on Christmas Eve morning.

Kit, Josie and Kennedy loved my Teddy.

Winter Formal
Winter Formal was my first formal dance. We had a scavenger hunt in the mall and then we took pictures at Sarah’s house.
I failed to put on the boutineer. It is harder than it looks!

We went to applebees for dinner.

I couldn’t believe that it is true: All girls took off their shoes as soon as we arrived at the dance.

We were 5 couples: Kaitlen and Jake, Sarah and Makade, Me and Ilano, Emily and Mike, Hannah and Mark

Mark loved to dance on the DJ stand, Hannah felt embarrassed for him.

Jelaire’s date was Brandon.

It was a great dance and we were very tired after the dance.

Basketball - Trainer
I love our basketball team. After I worked with the football team Mike decided that I should be the Trainer for the away games of the basketball team. In football Mike travelled with the team and I just watched him. The last month he taught me a lot of new things and now I’m travelling with the team instead of him. Tuesday was the first game. It was at home against Cottonwood. I watched the boys JV and Varsity game and both did a great job. On Thursday was our first away game, so the first time I was alone. We travelled with the bus to Davis (this school is incredible ugly!) It was awesome, we played an amazing game.

Thanksgiving

Last week was Thanksgiving, we had no school on Wednesday so I spent three hours building a christmastree with the young women. We had dinner at Allison's parents house. Thursday - Thanksgiving, we ate Breakfast there and the whole family, except the Arizona people, were tehre the whole day. We had a lot of good food and played games, watched football and parts of the parade and sat in the hotube and the snow outside.
Black Friday I didn't go shopping but sledding with my friends. Saturday I worked at the Utes. There had the big rivalry game against BYU and won it very close. In the evening we had a sing along Messiah concert. It was fun.

Harry Potter Midnight Premiere
Last Thursday was the Harry Potter premiere! We were at the movie theater at 7p.m. and we were the first group. It didn’t seem a long time till we got into the theater at 10p.m. It was like a big party in the theater. Mostly students from our school and everyone was hyper and crazy. At midnight started the movie and the audience was the best ever. When you first saw Hermione the reaction was “hmmm”, you saw Harry: No reaction, you saw Ron: everyone freaked out! It was awesome! I was home by 3.30 and got 2.5h of sleep till I had to go to school.

Monster Mash
Friday Oct 29:
We had a school off day, but at 10am I was at school and met the football team. It was the day of the first playoff and we ate breakfast all together. I stayed till I couldn't see the teambus anymore and went home to get ready for the dayactivity.
We lost the game - sad :(

We had a very funny sharpenter hunt (I still don't know how to spell it) in a mall. Lexi was the white rabbit and then you have to search for items and take pictures of it.

After the hunt, we changed an met for dinner - the teaparty- at Hannah's house.
We had a very big group. 20 people and dressed up as Alice in Wonderland.

Sports Medicine - Football
I love football. It is an interesting sport, I love to go to the the games and I like sport medicine.
So I found the perfect job for me: Student Trainer.
The Friday before our trip to Florida I went with the varsity football team to their game at Stansbury.
I watched the game from the sideline and followed the athletic trainer when he taped and checked players. It was a good game and we won very high.
This week I spent everyday 3h after school with the footballteam, learning how to tape and watching the practice.
On Wednesday we had a JV homegame (we lost :( ) and yesterday was my longest day.
I went to school at 3:30 when we started taping and giving tablets to the players, then I drove on the cheerleaderbus to the game and watched 3h the game. It was... terrible, we lost 56 to 14, but at least we had no injuries.

On the bus to the game at Stansbury.

Everyday life
I wrote my last article a long time ago. Here is a new one:
I got asked about a normal day of school. I wake up at 6:10, then I take a shower and Allison drives me to school. (All the students are driving or their parents drive them.) School starts at 7:30 (on Mondays at 8:30) and I have two classes on B-days and three classes on A-days till lunch. Lunch is always fun, we are sitting all together and we are talking a lot.
School ends at 2:10pm and then everybody is standing in the hall. You have to fight if you want to go out, because everyone is talking. I’m always at school till 2:20 or 30 and then I walk home, sometimes I get a ride, but I live only 10 minutes away. After school I make my lunch and take a short break till I start with my homework. I get a lot of homework. I hate that part. At 5pm Allison comes home and we eat dinner. On Tuesdays and Thursday we have one hour of work out. In the week is not much freetime, but at the weekends I have time with my friends like today.
We have a long weekend, because of Parents/Teachers Conferences. Tonight we had a Lord of the Rings movie night at Hannah’s house and I think we were about 12 people. It was so much fun.
Yesterday I had my second lacrosse game. We won 32:14. It was fun, but I need new shoes!

My first Lacrossegame
"Got ball! Got ball!" is the only thing I can yell with my green mouthguard. My jersey is a weird combination with a green mouthguard, grey goggles and a neongreenyellow jersey.
I like Lacrosse, we won our first game 19:11 and it was much fun. Everyone said I did a great job and they just recognized that it was my first game, when I stand on the field after the whistle with no idea what was going on. I had the ball and everyone was yelling different things. "Don't move!", "Throw to the goali!", "Run!".
I felt like one of the little girls in my team in Germany I used to coach.
Everyone was moaning about the temperature, but my problem was not that it was hot, I had a hard time to breath, because I'm not used to the altitude.

Work at the Utes game
That is where I worked. Nice, isn’t it?

We had to wear hats for work.

We were there at 11am, the game started at 2pm, so it was my first time in an empty stadium.

My job:

And the best part: Break. Go Utes!

They won 38:10 and the fans are much louder than soccerfans in Germany.
