The most awkward night...
Door bell ditching is my new hobby! In the last week I did about 15 houses. We started Tuesday.
We had the biggest basketball game against Highland for the Regionchampionship. Unfortunally we lost it and when I drove back on the bus with the guys they were all soo sad and disappointed. I drove with Alex to fresh market and bought candybars and little cards. I wrote on the cards: You're amazing. Thanks for a great season. We'll rock state!" Then we drove to all the houses of the varsity guys and left the little gifts on their front porch. It was way fun, exspecially at Carter's hosue, because sprinting back I tripped and fell :D

The best thing was friday in sport medicine. I have it together with Carter, Tanner, Colton and Spencer and they sit right behind me so I could hear their conversation:

Carter: hey tanner, remember when you told me, that you got this card saying "Great season, We'll rock state" or something.. I got one last night!
Spencer: Yes, same. And some chocolate.
Tanner: i got Hershey's and something else with it.
Spencer: That's what I got
Colton: I got it tuesday after the game. When the doorbell rang I thought it's some highland kid who comes to get me!
Carter: I want to find out who that was!

It was epic to listen to that :D

Ok, but now to the most awkward night:
I told before that we have this thing here in Utah, that we don’t ask to dances in a normal way.
Morp is coming up (Prom backwards) and it is our last girls choice dance. Alex and I decided to take our full courage and ask some guys we really wanted to go with, but we weren’t close friends with.
Alex wanted to ask Buck, who is a pretty popular guy and sits in a wheelchair at the moment because he broke his leg on Heelys :D

Thursday night after my wardball game, we bought all the stuff we needed to ask. I bought a bunch of beach toys for little kids and a bucket. I wanted to fill it with sand, but couldn’t find any sand, so I used flour instead. In the flour were the letters of my name and I wrote on the bucket “I’d ‘dig it’ if you went to morp with me”. Alex made something really cute: she had a double picture frame. In one frame she put a picture of her and in the other she put a mirror. Then she wrote a note: You tell me… Can you see yourself going to morp with anyone else?
We drove to Colton’s house first. I was already freaking out in the car, because I was so scared to ask him. Alex parked in front of his house and I made one step out of the car and started throwing all the toys all over his front yard. Then I stopped and Alex whispered: Go! You can’t just stand there. Do it!
So I walked up the way to his front door to leave the bucket there and ring the doorbell, but when I was about to leave the bucket I saw that there was flour on his front porch. With out saying anything I turned around and walked back to the car. Alex thought I’m too scared and locked the door of the car! Laughing and crying in once the only thing I could say was “There is flour on his porch!” “I told you, you’ll make a mess with the flour, go now and drop the bucket off!” she respond. “Noooo, it’s not my flour! It was already there! Go and tell me that I’m wrong and it doesn’t look like somebody asked him in the same way I was going to!” Alex let me into the car and left to walk to his door. She came back laughing. “Well, you better pick up your stuff in his front yard”. “Noooooo! I don’t go back there! I do not care if he comes out tomorrow and thinks his neighbor went crazy!” I was completely freaking out, somewhere between laughing and crying and being way hysteric. I tried to make Alex call Colton and ask “Did you just get asked??” and hang up when he answers yes. After some wrestling for her phone I convinced her to text him. “Did you just get asked for the dance” - “yes, but by I junior, I wasn’t planning on her” – “Ok, stay awake and answer the door later, you’ll laugh” – “ok, haha?”
We left his house and drove the Buck, the guy Alex wanted to ask. She stopped at his house, I dropped her gift off and we drove back to Colton’s house. It was already 11:15 on a Thursday. I took the bucket and walked to his door again. I was laughing so hard, that I just sat down on the ground till Colton came out. He look very confused when he saw me.
Me: Hey Colton!
Colton: Hi Carolin?
Me: Did you get asked with the flour?
Colton: yes..
Me: Like I’d dig it and stuff?
Colton: What??
Me: I was going to ask you for the dance.
Colton: Oh no! I’m sorry!
Me: So I walked up here and saw the flour, guess what I brought you: More flour, now you can bake me a cake! And I guess I made a mess in your front yard.
Colton: I feel so bad now. I’m sorry. I didn’t know that she would ask me.
We were talking till about 11:40pm (the poor guy was freezing badly :D ). Then Alex drove me home. Right when I left the car she said: “I got a message”. The message said: “Hi alex. It’s buck, I got your number from facebook. Thanks for asking me. That was the cutest way I ever got asked. Unfortunally I got asked a couple of hours before. I’m sorry. I promise I will make it up soon enough, ok?”
We both were too late, and I asked a guy who got asked a few hours before in exactly the same way I was going to. How big are the chances? There are billion ways how you can ask!
It is sad because I really wanted to go with Colton, but that night was the funniest ever. I was lying in my bed till 2am just laughing!
Last night I asked a friend to go with me and I guess he’ll say yes. I’m cursed. Ever dance the guy I asked first said no. Brandon McBride for Monster Mash was asked a couple of hours before. Cody for Winter Formal had a wrestling tournament. Colton got asked before…
