After one week in camp I stayed at my grandma's for a few days. Monday I met with Amy in Hanover. Amy was the CBYX student from Garbsen and we had much fun together. For dinner my Grandma and I visited Uncle Andreas and Monika and their son Jan. The other son, Jonas, wasn't at home. The next day my cousin Elisabeth came and we drove to Lyhren to visit my aunt Almut and her husband Andreas. Wednesday we brought Elisbeth to the train station and picked up my cousin Katrin for a day at the zoo. In the evening my grandpa came for dinner. It was great to see so many relatives again after such a long time.

I'm a U19-nationalplayer of germany!

Tomorrow I'll be off to Bad Malente. There is the summercamp of the U19 nationalteam of Germany. We'll practice one week and then I'll visit my grandma and my cousins.

Summer has started, but it looks more like late fall. It's been raining for days and the temperatures are never over 70 degrees. It sucks! I miss the 90s and 100s of Utah!

I love Harry Potter, I really do. One of my oldest memories is my mom telling me the story of Harry Potter, because I was too young to read it myself. That was more than a decade ago. By now I've read all books multiple times in German and English and I still love the many details of the magical world of Hogwarts.
It was no question that I went to the midnight premier of the last movie. I watched all Harry Potter movies in one week and went to see the double feature with Yero on Tuesday. At 10.30 the first part of the 7. book started and around 1.30am finally the last part started. It was a great movie, very sad, but great. Snape and McGonnagall are still my favorite characters.
It was fun to see at the premier, but nothing compared to the premier I attended in SLC. Hardly anyone was dressed up and we had seating tickets, so we didn't need to be there early.

Saturday and Sunday was the Rheincup in Cologne. It's a mixed tournament organized bei the ASV Köln. "Mixed" means you play two guys and two girls on the field and the goals are small without a goali. It's just for fun. We had the worst luck and lost many games by only one goal, in the end we made 11th out of 25, but we had much fun and it was great to see my floorball friends from everywhere in Germany again.

Last Saturday we had "Kölner Lichter". That's a big firework on ships on the River Rhine matching the music that is played at the same time. Dad, Melek, Fabi me and their neighboors went to the Rhine Park around 8 and ate our homemade wraps. There were so many people! They said they expect 800,000, but of course it wasn't quite that many. There were stages with music and at 22.30 ships with colorful lights came down the river and on the sides of the river were fireworks and sparkler. It looked great. At 23.30 the fireworks started. The music were typical kölsche songs, so everyone could sing along. It was great.

The season of 11/12 I'll play for the ASV Köln. Monday I had my first practice and it was very exhausting, but much fun and the team is great. Tonight is conditioning and I'm a little bit scared about what is coming.

Since last Wednesday I'm back in school. So far I never went to more than three periods a day (our periods are 45min). English class is awesome. So much fun, but in Biology and Chemistry... we don't wanna talk about that.
I miss the spirit from Olympus.
Titans forever!

My birthday was very relaxed. Actually I didn't do anything until 5pm when my friend Yero, his family and my godmother came. We had the best cake in the world with tons of marzipan. Later we watched "Remember the Titans". It reminded me a lot in Olympus times.

I'm back, good tired, but happy to see my family!

From SLC I flew to D.C. for e re-entry orientation. I was glad to see all my exchange student friends again, but the orientationw as very strict and I had to sleep alone in a room. D.C. was incredible hot and humid and we had to wear fancy clothes all day for a meeting with the congressman. (Yes, the guys had to wear a suit).
We saw a lot of sights and it was fun, but everyone had a little bit the feeling, that they didn't want to be there. Everyone wanted ratehr spend more time with their friends and family in the US or finally meet their family in Germany.

My last night in SLC was awesome. I took Allison to dinner and then I had friends over. Alex slept over and we had tons of fun.. ;)

Last monday I had my family farewell party. Allison made great enchiladas and we played games and tried to make s'mores on the BBQ (very slow). It was a great evening. I love them all!

Last sunday was my last time in church. We had sweetrolls and fruits in YW and watched a slideshow of picture sof the entire year. I got gifts and notes from every Laurel. It was a great year and I will miss my ward a lot.


Young Women

From Thursday to Saturday i went to Youth Conference. All Young Men and Young WOmen between 14 and 18 and their leaders drove up to Reid Ranch a nice Ranch in the mountains in the middle of nowhere. (There wasn't any service or internet). We were in four different groups and started with playing soccer. The Young WOmen got very excited when Katie told us, that also 90 priests are staying there. (Priests= 16-18years old). But they turned out to look like 12... We went boating, played many games, archery, horsebackriding... The horsebackriding turned out to be much fun because of 2 very cute cowboys who were working there. All boys went horsebackriding once, while all young women singed up for it 4 to 5 times.

The first night was freezing cold. I dreamed I'm stuck in the snow and freezing to death. Paige told me later I talked in my sleep saying that I'm so cold and I don't want to die.

Friday we did the same things, enjoyed the great weather and went on a hike in the evening. The hike and the testimony meeting at the campfire were great and had a great spirit.

Saturday we went horsebackriding a last time and said bye to the cowboys (who are of course my facebookfriends now :D ) and drove home.

It was an amazing time and a great experience.
